GoPro Hero 10 Black: 23 MP sensor and 5K 60FPS videos for 529 euros

The GoPro Hero 10 Black isn’t a huge evolution over last year’s GoPro Hero 9 Black, but it still builds on the previous generation’s winning formula. GoPro’s second in-house processor, the GP2. This aims to improve performance in terms of both image quality and ease of use.

Stabilization improves, shots are faster

This new high-performance processor also increases the overall speed of the new GoPro, allowing you to switch between shooting modes, navigate menus and review your content much faster. This new speed also applies to streaming content to your phone.

Indeed, according to GoPro, Hero 10 can wirelessly transfer data 30% faster than GoPro Hero 9. Additionally, you can connect your phone directly to the GoPro Hero 10 via USB to speed up transfers by 50%. Finally, the big news is there’s also an option to automatically download your latest footage while the camera is charging.

The GP2 processor also improves the overall quality of your content with advanced video algorithms with local tone mapping and 3D noise reduction. So you can capture finer details, more realistic textures and better contrast, even in low light.

Another new feature made possible by the CPU enhancement is HyperSmooth version 4.0, GoPro’s technology that offers gimbal-like stabilization via software. The Hero 10 also features an advanced horizon leveling system that locks the horizon even when the camera is tilted up to 45 degrees in any direction.

The new camera is already available on the GoPro site for 529.99 euros, but GoPro offers a 100 Euro discount on the occasion of the launch.
