Apple Watch Ultra 3: No revolution in sight, Apple’s next watch will disappoint

apple watch ultra 2 official

According to famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s new generation high-end watch may not bring significant hardware improvements compared to the previous model. In a recent note to investors, Kuo states that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will not be offered: hardly ever » Major internal improvement over current Ultra 2 model to be released in 2023.

This means the changes could be largely iterative, potentially limited to a newer processor and minor improvements. Certainly, Kuo’s prediction does not mean that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will be completely static.

What to expect from the next Apple Watch Ultra 3?

Apple often makes adjustments and improvements with each new model, even if they are incremental improvements in nature. New sensors, software features and some internal specification improvements are expected.

Based on this latest report, a cosmetic overhaul, a significant improvement in battery life, or the addition of a revolutionary new feature exclusive to the Ultra series seems less likely. We may have to wait until 2025 to see Apple introduce a new feature that has been highly anticipated by users: the blood sugar sensor.

If the Apple Watch Ultra is truly devoid of new features, it could leave space open for Samsung’s next high-end watch, which will likely be called the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra. The Korean giant claimed in its financial results that it will introduce not 2 but 3 models this year at the next Unpacked conference in Paris next July.

This brand new Galaxy Watch 7 will be an Ultra Premium model, It will compete directly with the American Apple Watch Ultra. We do not yet know whether it will contain enough interesting technologies to attract Apple users, but we already know that it should offer exemplary autonomy, for example, with a battery of no less than 600 mAh. This is much more than in previous generations.
