Why You Shouldn’t Buy The Moto X Right Now

Launched in September of 2014, the Moto X was one of the best phones of the year, packed with customization and covered in beautiful leather, and it’s still a great smartphone. It was recently priced at just $299, but even at this awesome low price, it’s a phone users shouldn’t buy right now, and we’ll explain why below.

Over the past 10 months, the 2014 Moto X has been a popular phone alongside the Moto G and Moto 360. smart watch The company also announced. However, there are multiple new smartphones that should put all buyers on hold in the next 30-45 days.

Currently, buyers have many options and are considering all options. From the Galaxy S6 to the leather-wrapped LG G4 and even the recently announced OnePlus 2. However, there are more than a few reasons not to wait for the 2014 Moto X for now, but in the end, most people can buy it. anyway, if the upcoming new phones don’t meet your needs. Read on for all the details.

On July 28, Motorola announced three excellent new smartphones. Only two are coming to the United States, so we won’t be talking about the Moto X game. Arguably the best, but sadly it won’t be available in the US.

Instead, Motorola released the 2015 Moto G, which is now available and sold out in less than a week, and the 2015 Moto X “Pure Edition” will launch in early September. These two phones, along with the OnePlus 2 and the new Galaxy Note 5, are reasons not to buy the currently available Moto X. At least, until we learn all about all these phones and buyers decide what’s right for them.

Moto X 2015 (Style or Pure Edition)

Motorola’s flagship device in 2015 is the Moto X Style, but will be sold in the US as the Moto X Pure Edition. It’s all a bit confusing, but all you need to know is that this is an impressive phone with a massive 5.7-inch display, but will only cost $399. Personally it should just be called the Moto XL, but it isn’t. That said, you’ll get the following from the 2015 Moto X, starting at $399.

Sounds impressive. The only problem for potential buyers is that the new Moto X for 2015 is quite large. It’s much larger than last year’s 5.2-inch model. So, if you don’t want a big phone, don’t wait and grab the 2014 Moto X, which is on sale for $299 and enjoy.

However, if you can manage a slightly larger device, you’ll get a massive device. increase Performance with a 6-core processor, more storage, much better battery life and a great camera. Motorola actually claims it will be the first of three smartphone cameras.

For $100 more, the new Moto X 2015 has a lot to offer. However, all we know about the release date is that it will arrive in September. That’s all Motorola shares. It will also not be sold by carriers, so there will be no bloatware, nor will there be contract pricing. This means buyers will have to spend $399 directly.

Nexus 5 and 6 (2015)

Another device to consider instead of the obsolete Moto X from 2014 is the new Nexus smartphones, which are rumored to be coming soon. From what we’ve heard, Google has some excellent new phones in the works.

An LG Nexus 5, one with a 5.2-inch 1080p HD display, excellent battery life, a fingerprint scanner for security, front-facing speakers like Motorola, and a few other things, all for under $400. If true, this will compete well against everything released this year, including the new Moto X, old Moto X and everything else.

There are also rumors of a larger 5.7-inch Nexus 6 manufactured by Huawei for 2015 that will be a premium device for under $500. If true, this would be a great alternative to the new 5.7-inch Moto X Pure Edition announced next week. Buyers have many choices.

OnePlus 2

A relatively unknown brand also has a new phone to compete with Motorola, and this new OnePlus 2 was announced the same week as the new Moto X and is the perfect middle ground between the old Moto X and the new.

The OnePlus 2 has a 5.5-inch 1080p HD display, slightly better battery life, a great 16-megapixel camera, and five customizable backplates for Motorola-like customization. Starting at $389 for the 64GB model and $399 for the 16GB Moto X 2015, this is another smartphone worth considering.

Finally, since the new Moto X has a huge screen, it will have to compete with the new Galaxy Note 5, which is said to be announced on August 13 and launch in the US on August 21.

If you’re targeting the 2014 Moto X, consider getting something bigger, better, more powerful, and with a more premium design, like Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 5. It’s hard to recommend the 2014 Moto X at the moment, as it will be released in the next 30-45 days.

At the end of the day, the 2014 Moto X is still an excellent smartphone. Apart from mediocre battery life, it has everything for a great smartphone experience. Add in the recent price drop to just $299 and it’s hard to argue with. That said, get a similar experience from the 2015 Moto G for $179, or wait for some of these other phones to hit the market before jumping into something almost a year old.
