After months of rumors and speculation, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will finally replace the Galaxy Note 4. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 5 at its Unpacked event in New York City today, confirming the elephant in the room for the first time.
As expected, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Note 5 with some powerful features like a 5.7 inch Quad HD display, brand new S Pen, 16MP rear camera, wireless charging, fast charging and a beautiful premium design that makes the device stand out. On par with Galaxy S6 and iPhone.
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 launch date came early this year, and many thought the Galaxy Note 5 release date would come early as well. It seems we had our suspicions right, and the Galaxy Note 5 will hit shelves in some regions much earlier than Apple’s rumored iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

Galaxy Note 5 Release Date
The first Samsung Galaxy Note 5 release date will be August 21, but it looks like Samsung won’t be launching the device in all regions that day.
It looks like the Galaxy Note 5 release date will land in August for the US and Asian markets, but it may not arrive in parts of Europe until next year.

AT&T Galaxy Note 5
As expected, AT&T will ship the Galaxy Note 5 on its shelves and launch the Galaxy Note 5 much earlier than previous Galaxy Note models.
The AT&T Galaxy Note 5 release date will be on August 21, but buyers who were previously interested in buying the phone will be able to purchase the phone starting today.
At 3 p.m. AT&T Galaxy Note 5 will be available for pre-order before its launch at the end of August. AT&T will charge $250 for a 32GB model and $350 for a contracted 64GB model. AT&T will charge $739.99 for 32GB without contract and $839.99 without contract.
AT&T recently increased the activation fee to $45 for two-year contracts and also added an AT&T Next upgrade fee of $15. Keep these in mind as we move towards the AT&T Galaxy Note 5 release date.
Sprint Galaxy Note 5
Sprint is also Confirmed to receive Galaxy Note 5 and it appears that its release will mirror AT&T’s.
The release date of the Sprint Galaxy Note 5 will be on August 21, just like AT&T. Again, this is much earlier than usual and comes well before Apple’s rumored iPhone 6s Plus launch event. Apple will reportedly host a launch event on September 9, but the company has yet to send out invites.
Sprint will start taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 5 starting at 3 PM today, and it has revealed a few more important details ahead of sales.
The carrier says pre-orders will begin shipping tomorrow, August 14, a week before the device hits the shelves at retail outlets. Sprint also says customers and pre-orderers will get:
Sprint will charge the same $250/$350 contract and non-contract $720 (32GB) and $816 (64GB) charges for the 32GB and 64GB models.
T-Mobile Galaxy Note 5
T-Mobile’s Galaxy Note 5 didn’t pass the FCC before today’s launch date, but we expected the carrier to offer the fifth-generation model.
T-Mobile’s Galaxy Note 5 has been confirmed and will apparently join its other carriers in the US by launching the device on August 21, ahead of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
Those who want to register T-Mobile can register Galaxy Note 5 online via website. The company is offering one year of free Netflix to those who sign up by August 20 and purchase the phone by September 30.
The company will not offer the Galaxy Note 5 on contract, and like other US carriers, it will only offer the Galaxy Note 5 in two storage sizes, 32GB and 64GB.
US Cellular Galaxy Note 5
The US Cellular Galaxy Note 5 release has also been confirmed, and it looks like it will launch its latest flagship device a little earlier than usual.
Like others, it will launch the Galaxy Note 5 on August 21. For those unfamiliar with past Galaxy Note releases, know that this is weeks before usual. In the past, US carriers like US Cellular have launched the Galaxy Note 5 in late September, October, and even November.

Pre-orders for the US Cellular Galaxy Note 5 will soon begin giving callers from the nation’s fifth-largest carrier a chance to pre-order the phone before its release date.
Verizon Galaxy Note 5
As expected, the Verizon Galaxy Note 5 has also been confirmed to be released. Verizon is taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 5 starting today, but has yet to confirm the Galaxy Note 5 release date.
The 32GB Verizon Galaxy Note 5 will be $696 without contract, and the 64GB model will be $792. You’ll also be able to pay $29 per month for 24 months for the 32GB version or $33 per month for the 64GB version for 24 months.
Remember, Verizon recently changed the way it sells smartphones, so you’ll want to be extremely careful when pre-ordering.
Other Carriers
It appears that the Galaxy Note 5 is not confirmed for other US carriers and the Galaxy Note will once again be limited to major US carriers.
Smaller regional and prepaid carriers generally do not stock the Galaxy Note series, and this trend is likely to continue. There’s always a chance of a late announcement, but we can’t count on that at this point.
Retailers
In addition to carrier locations, the Galaxy Note 5 will be sold at a variety of retailers in the United States, including Samsung Experience Stores at Best Buy, Amazon, BestBuy.com, Costco, Sam’s Club, Target and select Walmart stores. Pricing will vary from carrier to carrier, retailer to retailer.

You will be able to go hand in hand with the Galaxy Note 5, days before its release. Starting tomorrow, the 7,000 participating AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and Samsung Experience Stores at Best Buy locations will begin displaying the Galaxy Note 5 on the shelves.
