Samsung Galaxy Lollipop Edition: 5 Key Details Revealed

A flurry of new Samsung Galaxy Lollipop release details has surfaced today, including new information about the Galaxy S6 Android 5.1.1 release, the unreleased Galaxy Note 2 Lollipop update, and some Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5 Lollipop update details for users in the United States. .

In December, Samsung started rolling out Android Lollipop and its features to the Galaxy S5. Since then, the company has made a big Lollipop move to other flagships like the Galaxy Note 4 and lesser-known devices like the Galaxy Alpha. The company’s Lollipop upgrade continues to move forward at a rapid pace, although it has become more complex over time.

Heading into the summer, Samsung has started rolling out another version of Lollipop called Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Android 5.1.1 is not available to everyone. Instead, Samsung has been very selective about the devices that receive the new update and its collection of bug fixes.

This reflects what Samsung has done with Lollipop as a whole. Instead of rolling out Lollipop to every device, it limited it to its latest devices, which disappointed owners of older devices as we entered the summer. Samsung’s version of Galaxy Lollipop is huge with lots of moving parts and extremely confusing for many users.

Despite this, Samsung’s debut of Lollipop continues, and today we’ve captured a number of key details that will interest potential Android 5.1.1 users and owners of two older Galaxy devices awaiting their first update to Lollipop.

Galaxy Note 2 Lollipop Update

There has been a lot of back and forth regarding the unreleased Galaxy Note 2 Lollipop update. We’ve seen some regional Samsung arms confirm plans to release a Galaxy Note 2 update. we also saw trusted sites confirm Samsung’s plans to release the software to the aging old flagship.

Samsung has yet to confirm it in any way, but at least one major region may not receive the update even if Samsung decides to release the update in the future.

according to a circulated tweet Galaxy Note 2 Lollipop update from Samsung UK will not roll out to devices in the UK. We’ve seen Samsung’s regional wings get it wrong before, but at this point we would have softened our expectations if we had a Galaxy Note 2 in the UK.

We have Galaxy Note 2 models in the United States and at this point we’re still not convinced anything will be released. The Galaxy Note 2 is almost three years old, and US carriers generally don’t offer Android phones anything more than two years. Everything is possible, but we are not optimistic.

At the moment, we don’t have any exact information about the Galaxy Note 2 Lollipop release date and we will soften our expectations as we move deeper into the year towards the Android M update.

Galaxy S3 Lollipop Update

If you’re hoping for a Samsung Galaxy S3 Lollipop update and you live in the UK, you can breathe.

At the same time, Samsung UK’s Twitter operator also told users that the Lollipop update will not be coming to the Galaxy S3 in the UK. This is not surprising.

We never expected the Lollipop update to hit the Galaxy S3 in the United States or elsewhere, and it looks like a death knell to end all the death knells.

New Galaxy S6 Android 5.1.1 Update Details

Now for the good news. Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Android 5.1.1 updates keep making progress. While they linger in the United States, they are making progress in other parts of the world.

SamMobile Galaxy S6 Duos Android 5.1.1 update now affects users in Dubai. Not available in the United States, the device should see the Android 5.1.1 update begin rolling out soon.

The point here is that it’s only a matter of time before the Android 5.1.1 update starts making significant progress and arrives in another Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge variant elsewhere.

New Galaxy Note 4 Lollipop Update

Sprint is one of the carriers rolling out Android 5.1.1 updates for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. While many expect the next update for the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5 to be Android 5.1.1, this is not the case.

carrier today confirms a new Galaxy Note 4 Lollipop update but the update is minor and doesn’t look like Android 5.1.1. Instead of a healthy list of bug fixes, this update comes with “Reactivation Lock updates” and nothing more. From what we’ve heard, the update is around 150MB.

We’re pretty sure a Galaxy Note 4 Android 5.1.1 update is on the way, but it’s unclear whether the United States will be included in Samsung’s plans.
