We’ve seen a few Nexus 6 deals here and there since the phone was announced and launched in November of last year, but today one of the best deals has arrived. New in Google Store lowered the price $150 on the latest Nexus smartphone.
Some Nexus 6 deals arrived around Black Friday last year, and we saw carriers like T-Mobile cut $100 off the price for select users. But today Google itself is offering the best Nexus 6 deal we’ve ever seen. Read on for more details.
In January, Expansys offered the phone about $50 off, and if you’re one of the unlucky few to miss this opportunity, Google’s unlocked model is your best bet, as it works on all carriers. Google isn’t offering a discount or any barriers to direct savings on its latest flagship phone.
For whatever reason, Google today announced the best Nexus 6 deal we’ve seen since its launch in November, making the massive phone accessible to many potential buyers. They stole the price of both the 32 and 64 GB Nexus 6 by dropping $150 off.
The Nexus 6 offers a large 5.96-inch Quad-HD display, a powerful quad-core processor with 3GB of RAM, 32 or 64GB of storage, and a quality 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization. It has a huge 3,220 mAh battery, runs the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and is the best smartphone Google has ever released. If you buy the Nexus 6, you can even try the unreleased Android M developer preview.
It’s also the most expensive Nexus smartphone to date. It comes in at almost twice the price of its predecessor, the Nexus 5, making it a very expensive device for many buyers. The 32GB model is $649 and the 64GB variant is $699. However, currently Google offers it for as low as $499.
Our Nexus 6 review below takes a look at the stunning 5.96-inch Quad-HD, talking about loud and clear dual front-facing speakers, good battery life, and clean interface. Those who haven’t bought the Nexus 6 yet will want to take a look at our review and then buy one today while this deal is still running. We recommend that you try it in a store before buying, but at the same time, this opportunity will not last long.
With the Samsung Galaxy S6, HTC One M9 and LG G4 all available from carriers in the US, Google is facing increased competition that may be part of the reason for the massive price cut for the Nexus 6 today. We’re not sure if this is a permanent or expiring deal, so buy it while it’s still available.
Google also recently announced a new mobile service called Project Fi that aims to provide the best networking experience using T-Mobile, Sprint or free WiFi hotspots in the city. It’s a bold new approach to a mobile network that’s different from AT&T, Verizon, and others, and it currently only works with the Nexus 6. This Nexus 6 deal could be to get a few more people to own phones when Project Fi launches, or to clear some of the inventory to make room for the 2015 Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 we’ve been hearing about for the past few months.
All said and done, this is the best Nexus 6 deal we’ve seen since its launch in November, and it’s definitely worth considering. It is still one of the best Android phones and runs the latest Android M Beta that Google announced last week.
