Motorola DROID Turbo 2 Release Details Leak

With the new Moto X Pure Edition and the budget-friendly Moto G already available, Motorola’s next big smartphone for 2015 is the Verizon Wireless-exclusive DROID Turbo 2. Last year the DROID Turbo was arguably one of the most powerful smartphones of 2014, and now tons of details have surfaced about the new DROID Turbo 2.

We’ve seen a few leaks about a device called the Moto X Force in the last few months, but according to the latest rumors, this device will soon launch on Verizon Wireless as the DROID Turbo 2 and will be similar to the popular Moto. Play. For those who want something different than the iPhone or the latest Samsung Galaxy or Note on Verizon, read on for all the details.

Verizon’s original DROID Turbo is still a quality smartphone. It has a great design, an impressive camera and a massive battery that lasts for about two days. But this week, we learned almost everything about its successor, the DROID Turbo 2.

Our first solid reports a few weeks ago surfaced About what the new DROID Turb0 2 could be, and now an exclusive leak is giving more details for Verizon customers. Most of the details are similar to previous reports, giving confidence that the information is fairly accurate.

Earlier this year Motorola promised to deliver most of its smartphone and watch lineup on the same annual release cycle as last year, and it looks like the DROID Turbo 2 will launch towards the end of October, at the same time as the original last year.

By Phandroid The DROID Turbo 2 will feature a slightly larger “shatter-proof” display, board-wide improvements, and Verizon will tout it as one of the longest-lasting smartphones, one that charges extremely fast, and can even be marketed as “unbreakable.” ”. We’ve heard of this before, but for those interested, the full spec sheet is here.

From what we saw above, the new DROID Turbo 2 will be a significant upgrade over last year’s model. It also has a massive battery that should offer around two days of battery life, a more powerful processor, a slightly larger and more durable display, possibly a similar but improved camera, and full customization.

One random aspect of this leak, which may or may not be true, is MotoMaker support. The leaker claims that the DROID Turbo 2 can be customized and shipped to the buyer’s door, both in stores and on Motorola.com. And even better, Verizon and Motorola will allow owners one free customization exchange if they’re not happy with the colors and options of the original purchase. This sounds a bit difficult, but we’ll find out soon.

Last but certainly not least is the release date. According to their sources, the new DROID Turbo 2 will likely be announced and launched around the same time as last year. The circulating date for the announcement is October 15th and October 29th in stores, but with any release date, and Verizon in particular, things could change at any time.

The new DROID Turbo 2 is essentially a slightly smaller, more powerful and better version of the Moto X Pure Edition. Of course, some of these details may be wrong and we will have to wait for the official announcement. Stay tuned for more details, and more leaks and rumors will continue to surface as the release date approaches.
