LG G4 Release Date and Features Rumors

With the Samsung Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9 both officially here and available for pre-order today, rumors and leaks are starting to spin towards the next model from LG. Of course, as we’ve already seen rumors and visuals, it’s the upcoming LG G4. While we’ve already seen a few leaked images, today we’re getting more details on the specs and a possible release date.

Last year the LG G3 was announced in late May, and more than a month later, it fell far behind the competition. However, this version was earlier than the G2 before it, and the G2 arrived even earlier than the original Optimus G. In 2015, we hear that LG will ramp up production once again, potentially revealing the LG G4 sooner than originally expected. .

Back in early February, the new LG G4 smartphone was somewhat confirmed by LG after some early rumors, and now we’re getting a few more details about LG’s next smartphone. We’ve been getting news lately about two devices, one being the LG G4 and the other offering a premium option that will be even better and will launch later this year.

This is reportedly the new LG G4

Earlier today some images appeared Said to be called the LG G4 Note, it’s a device that will rival the Galaxy Note 4, iPhone 6 Plus and everything else later this year, but today we also get a potential release date for the highly anticipated LG G4.

A few weeks ago, we received the first images of the new LG G4 and they showed a device wrapped in a familiar plastic frame, with buttons on the back, but with a curved display, surprisingly similar to the LG G Flex series. No other LG G flagships have had a curved screen, but that may finally change in 2015.

Today reports outside Korean Messenger reportedly confirms that the new LG G4 will actually arrive sooner than many expected, and sources have confirmed that it will actually feature a curved display. However, it won’t be as flexible as the G Flex and G Flex 2, but will still have a slight curve to help create the company’s new signature look.

The Korea Herald states that they have spoken to sources close to LG and that the company plans to announce the new LG G4 by the end of April. This is exactly one month ahead of the LG G3 in 2014, and we may also see an expedited release date. Instead of waiting for July to hit the shelves, it could launch in May from all major carriers worldwide and in the United States.

LG expects to sell around 10 million LG G4 smartphones in 2015 and this can be achieved with a faster version compared to the device introduced last year. Their sources claim they have confirmed that the display will have the same 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD resolution, but with a slight curve, similar to the leaked image above.

Unfortunately, no other specs, details or information were provided. However, previous reports and rumors state that the device will come with a Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32 and 64GB storage options, a micro SD slot, a 3,200 or larger battery. LG will increase the camera to 16 or 20 megapixels, retain the rear buttons and laser autofocus, and run Android 5.0.2 Lollipop similar to the LG G Flex 2. We could see the work begin with Google’s latest version of Android 5.1 Lollipop.
