Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus Introduced With Quad Speakers and More

Today at the annual IFA Trade Show in Berlin, Lenovo announced the all-new and much-improved Yoga Tab 3 Plus with significant upgrades across the board. The Android-powered Yoga Tab series has been a staple for home use, with a built-in kickstand, great stereo sound, and decent battery life, and their new model for 2016 will be better than ever.

So far, none of the new Lenovo Yoga Tab models have a built-in projector like last year, but the latest 10-inch tablet has more than enough upgrades to make up for it. We’re talking about a big and beautiful 2k screen, four JBL speakers for stunning sound, and a massive battery rated for 18 hours of all-day use.

Every year the Lenovo Yoga series delivers impressive tablets for Windows users as well as the Yoga Tab series running the latest version of Android, and that’s what’s being introduced today. Read on for more details on the most impressive Android tablets to date.

Lenovo has announced the Yoga Tab 3 Plus, along with three other brand new devices for the 2016 back-to-school and holiday season. It offers the same large 10.1-inch screen as previous models, but this year it has a 2560 x 1600 Quad-HD IPS display for the best movie experience ever.

To move forward with the improved display, Lenovo has partnered with JBL and added four surprisingly loud and clear speakers to the front that will deliver thunderous sound and immersive entertainment with Dolby Atmos technology. Together these should make some good movies.

A new 2k display and quad speakers will likely be enough for an upgrade, but the company also boasts an IP52 splash-proof rating so more owners can use it for cooking in the kitchen with the built-in kickstand. And once again, it supports four different modes at the push of a button. Click on the back to release the metal bracket and set up an easy-to-grip mode, stand mode, tilt (look down) for the desktop, and of course, hang mode. The Kickstand has a circular slot that is perfect for hanging it on the car or wall.

To round off the specs, the newly announced Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus features an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a micro SD slot for expansion, a 13-megapixel rear and 5MP front camera configuration, USB. Type-C and massive 9300 mAh battery for universal and fast charging. In fact, Lenovo claims it can last about 18 hours on a single charge with typical all-day use. This is impressive.

It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with a Lenovo skin on the top with a kid mode for safe use, Netflix is preloaded and comes in two colors: Puma Black or Gunmetal Gray with a new faux leather finish on the back.

Overall, the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus looks like a great upgrade over previous models. Stunning Quad-HD display, powerful processor, evolving JBL speakers, USB Type-C and splash-proof. Lenovo will also offer a 4G LTE model with a SIM slot for business users or those on the go. We hear that the new Tab 3 Plus will launch in October for around $299. Stay tuned for more details.
