For 2016, HTC is gearing up to launch an all-new and completely redesigned HTC One M10. We’ve gotten a lot of details in recent weeks thanks to leaks and rumors promising a great alternative to the Galaxy S7 or LG G5. And now recently, a release date has emerged that will disappoint many potential buyers.
Numerous leaks and rumors paint a clear picture of what’s to come. The HTC One M10 might be HTC’s best smartphone yet. With a nice redesign, a Samsung and Apple-like front fingerprint scanner, improved camera and more, but now we have bad news.
The company has struggled in recent years with the HTC One series, especially the HTC One M9, which looks almost identical to the One M8 from the previous year. And while that system worked for Apple, it failed miserably for HTC. This year they are changing things up with a promising new phone. Below is the first leaked image allegedly of the HTC One for 2016.

The new HTC One may not be called the M10 this year and may come with a completely different name to set itself apart from the failed M9 from 2015. But for now, we’ll have to wait and see. The name doesn’t matter, it’s what it offers and what buyers want to know when the phone arrives. Not only that, this week HTC made fun of “powerof10” suggesting that the phone will indeed be called the HTC One M10.
The latest teaser image comes directly from HTC and shows #powerof10 on Twitter.
This somewhat confirms that it will be called the HTC One M10, but that’s all HTC wants to share. No event announcement has been made, and no other details have been made about this phone. One thing we can take away from the tweet is that the beautiful all-aluminum design will have curved and chamfered edges around it. See for yourself.

That’s all HTC wants to share at this point. Probably to steal some limelight from the Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5. Below is the latest information based on leaks and rumors.
According to numerous leaks and rumors, the HTC One for 2016 will feature a slightly larger 5.1-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD display, a powerful octa-core Snapdragon 820 processor with 3-4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage with micro-SD. slot, a larger battery, and a much improved 12 “ultrapixel” camera similar to the iPhone 6s or the upcoming Galaxy S7 and more.
Next, we hear it will have an improved all-aluminum design and a front fingerprint scanner that looks like a mix between the button on Samsung devices and Apple’s iPhone. Blending the two in a way that looks a little different while offering improved security, features, and more. It all sounds great, but many people might buy something else if it comes too late.
Early rumors earlier this month claimed that the HTC One will launch in April, the same time frame as the HTC One M9 in 2016. However, the famous and typically accurate leaker @evleaks has bad news. His sources state that he will not arrive until May.

Blass notes that the HTC One M10 won’t be available for sale in the US until May 9, about two months after the Galaxy S7 launches in early March. This will be the latest HTC smartphone launch in recent years, which may disappoint many HTC fans.
However, he continues to share other exciting news later on. This is a rumor that an HTC smartwatch will go on sale before the end of April. HTC has been working on a smartwatch for about two years, but hasn’t released anything to compete with the Moto 360, Apple Watch or other alternatives.
For now, we’ve almost confirmed that the new HTC One will be announced at an event hosted by HTC in mid-March.
