Google’s Stuff After remaining exclusive to the Android operating system for a while, you’ll soon be available in Google Chrome for Mac, Windows, ChromeOS, and Linux. As a matter of fact, Google added a new “flag” to the Canary version. This makes Chrome much more vibrant, but above all, much more colorful.

By enabling the new feature, you will be able to automatically match the color of the title bar, bookmarks bar, and some browser menus with the wallpaper themes set in your new tab. Therefore, your Internet browser’s colors should become much more consistent.

As a reminder, Material You launched with Android 12 in 2021. In addition to new guidelines for the sizes and shapes of UI components, Material You also came with an automatic color system. Google’s operating system has the ability to automatically extract colors from your wallpaper and apply them to the user interface, and Chrome Canary has used exactly this feature.

Frankly, since the feature is just starting to appear in Chrome Canary, we don’t expect these dynamic background-based color themes to be available either. Released before at least version 110, scheduled for release in February 2023. It is this version that will allow the browser to leave Windows 7 and 8.1.

to wait for, If you use Google Canary, you can already enable the functionality manually. To do this, go to: chrome://flags/ In your search bar to access the hidden Google settings panel. You should then be able to find the new flag by searching. #customize-chrome-color-removal. Once it appears, you can enable it and then restart Chrome. Chrome should then automatically match its colors to the wallpaper you set on the new tabs page, but only if it’s one of Google’s predefined wallpapers.
