Google Allo is finally available. Google’s messaging app has finally arrived on the US Play Store. Other markets should follow shortly, but in the meantime, you can download the APK file to your smartphone and take advantage of this new messaging client that may soon make you forget about WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.
Evleaks announced that Google Allo would be released on September 21, and he wasn’t lying. The new email client is finally available. Just like WhatsApp, it works using your phone number, which makes things a lot easier as you don’t need to create an account. Once you’re in the app, you can instantly see who owns it from your contacts and easily invite your other contacts to download the app.
The integration of Google Assistant into the heart of Google Allo is quite surprising, although it seems that only English language is supported for now. On the messaging side, features abound such as quick replies, stickers, sending GIFs, and the ability to easily change the text size based on the tone of your message.
The new messaging client that comes with the Google Duo video chat application was also introduced at the American giant’s developer conference. Thanks to their innovative features, these two new apps give a real look to Google’s messaging offering, hitherto limited to Hangouts.
