Chat apps have become the very juicy new horse chestnut of smartphones. Whatever the service, everyone is lucky enough to be able to recover a great deal of personal information, while at the same time solidifying a very strong community around a core service, making it one of the most profitable and important businesses in the world.
Few developers are as well positioned in this space as Facebook, which has two of the most used apps in the world, along with Messenger and WhatsApp. The first is expanding its services by integrating smaller services such as games that are popular and increasingly popular especially in France.
Facebook Messenger games will soon include ads
Whoever says more users says more monetary opportunities. Facebook announced that this special section has entered a “new phase” and can now be monetized. Developers can now choose to show video ads during games or force ad breaks to continue playing.
Currently, these ads only concern certain developers selected by the platform and are still in beta testing. But ultimately, they should be integrated into most of the games available on Facebook Messenger. However, more and more games will be available here as the developer also announced that it has become much easier for developers to submit their games and be accepted by the platform.
Video games seem to be part of Facebook’s growth plans, too, after video hits the social network. It should be said that even before the launch of Messenger, gaming has always been an integral part of the interest of the platform.
