In case you were wondering, the last major update arrived in October. Also, Builder’s Hall came out on September 7th and is almost 6 months old. That means Supercell has plenty of time to make big changes. Now, we can finally get two extremely powerful items for the Builder Base, Mega Tesla and Super PEKKA. That, along with tons of other meaningful changes.

So far, this seems like a minor but important update. Small if you’re looking for a change in your original village, but big for the Builder Hall. Clash of Clans “Merchant”

A brand new unit is coming to Clash of Clans, sort of. You can’t fight it, but it will help you in many different ways. His name is Merchant and here is what to expect.

Occasionally, the merchant will open a shop on the left side of your village, opposite the Clan Games wagon road. It will be selling exotic “goods” when it arrives, according to Supercell. Every day he stops by, he will have three special deals for you. This will be the only way to get special magic items or other rare and unusual novelties. In addition, some of the available spells we get from Clan Games are also available at discounted prices.

First, the March 2018 Builder Base update introduces Mega Tesla and Super PEKKA, both coming to your base in the near future. That is, if you can afford to upgrade to Builder Base 8. That’s where they unlock it. These are two extremely powerful new troops that will completely shake up the game. As a result, all of our defenses will also receive new levels. We’re getting an extra pump and gold mine to accumulate enough gold for these upgrades.

Unfortunately, we don’t see much for balance changes in the Builder Base. Most players were expecting drastic changes, but Supercell hopes the new troop, defensive unit, and War Machine changes will suffice.

As you can see above, the Sneaky Archer cloak lost about 2 seconds of invisibility. Then there is a new Potion pump, gold mine, cannon, double cannon, army camp, fireworks and all the traps.

There’s also a brand new ‘Ring of Walls’ enchantment that you can purchase and it will raise all walls. This works in both villages. Builder Ball 8 also lets you equip Mortars in the original village which will be very exciting.

This is a short and sweet update packed with tons of fun new changes. Be careful though, these new Giant Bomb upgrades to the original village will kill those Pig attacks or Barbarian raiders. Be careful and find out how these changes affect your attack before you waste too much.

Clash Mart Update Issues

If the Clash March update is not available in the app store, simply swipe down (on Android or iOS) to refresh your app store. You should now see an option to update the game after the refresh. We’ve found that restarting your phone often does this as well, forcing recent updates to appear.

You may also notice that after this update there is snow left over from the Christmas event on the Builder’s Hut. This is a minor bug that will probably be fixed soon. But the biggest problem is that users experience app crashes when trying to visit other villages. More importantly, if you try to view someone else’s Builder Base, the game will close. This is a situation Supercell is investigating and will likely release an update soon to fix these issues. Expect a minor update in the first week of any major game change with patches and fixes.
