Birds games will be released in the future, but for now Angry Birds 2 is on the agenda and there are a few new things you should know.

Angry Birds 2 comes with the same general style and gameplay you know and love from past Angry Birds games, but the sequel comes with a few changes and new features that mobile gamers should enjoy. Plus, it definitely gives the series a good jolt that it has been needing for a while, as themed titles can only last so long.

Choosing Slingshot Birds

A big change to the gameplay in Angry Birds 2 is the ability to choose which birds to hit with the slingshot to knock down all the pigs, instead of just using the ones given to you.

In past Angry Birds games, you were given a certain number of different birds that you had to use in the order in which they were presented. There was nothing particularly wrong with this setup, but Angry Birds 2 offers a more interesting way to take down the opponent.

Rovio says that while this gives players a bit more freedom and the ability to be more creative with leveling up, it still poses a challenge as you’ll need to choose the bird order wisely.

Boss Pigs

Angry Birds takes a page out of almost every classic video game, and now Angry Birds 2 has boss pigs.
