Google had warned us: Android 12L would qualify for three beta versions before its release this year. The launch of the OS seems to be fast approaching, with the third, and thus the so-called last, currently available on Pixel smartphones, about a month after the second beta was released.
We won’t have to wait for a revolution for this new build S2B3.220205.007.A1. On Twitter, the Android Developers account is a “updated environment test” and “bug fixes and optimizations”. In other words, it’s time to fine-tune before the big day. There is a novelty to underline: Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro can now download the update.
Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro can test Android 12L
This is the first time since the release of Android 12L that Google has had the right to get its hands on its latest flagships, contrary to the firm’s habits of testing these features on its latest devices. Note that almost any Pixel, from Pixel 3a to the latest, can now get their hands on it. As a reminder, here is the complete list of compatible smartphones.
- pixel 6
- Pixel 6 Pro
- pixel 5
- Pixel 5a 5G
- pixel 4

- Pixel 4a 5G

Nothing else is on the horizon, but this latest beta announces the upcoming arrival of the operating system. Google hasn’t confirmed a specific date yet, but we refer to the distribution schedule for the latest releases, we can expect it to arrive by next month. Anyway, the Mountain View company has already announced that the operating system should reach its final version by the end of the first quarter of 2022.
