At the end of September, Google finally announced when it will deliver the Nexus Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to the Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player. The company has selected October 5 for rollout to begin, and as promised, Android Marshmallow launches on October 5.
This is a Google Android version we’re talking about here, which means the October 5 release date is limited.
Google has ported the upgrades to AOSP, but there are many who do not want to manually install Android updates. The company has also started rolling out updates over the Internet, but progress has been slow for all Nexus users.
This week we’re finally starting to see the Nexus Marshmallow OTA gain momentum. Today, we received the update prompt on several Nexus devices, which is a sign that Google is ready to roll out tons of Nexus devices worldwide.
