Theory between webs: Has Venom’s true identity been discovered?

Throughout Insomniac Games’ presentation about the game “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2“, creative director Bryan Intihar revealed something that left many fans confused.

In this context, new concept art was presented of Peter Parker and Miles Morales fighting the most beloved antagonist of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Venom. At this time, the creative director pointed out that the symbiote this time will not be Eddie Brock.

“Our goal was to tell an original story: Something you haven’t seen in comics or movies yet.”said Intihar.“Obviously, we love Venom for a reason [e] all the things you love about him will be there, but how the story unfolds; who is Venom? You’ll have to play the game to see”added the director.

A clue was left in the post-credits scene of ‘Spider-Man’

After the credits of “Spider-Man,” we are treated to an intriguing moment. During the research station’s side missions, Peter is tasked with combating the traces of air pollution left behind by Harry Osborn.

As they near the end of the game, Peter and Mary Jane Watson make a distressing discovery: Harry is terminally ill.

However, it is in the post-credits scene that we are thrown into a whirlwind of surprises. Inside a secret room on the property of Norman, Harry’s father, we come across an unexpected revelation.

At this point, Harry, like a pickled cucumber, floats in a green vat. But the most chilling thing is the sinuous thread of the Venom symbiote, which can be seen inside the tank next to Harry.

Even if this theory makes sense, fans believe that Insomniac will take a less obvious route regarding Venom’s identity. But we won’t know that until “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2” is released.

The game will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and is scheduled for release on October 20th of this year. Check out the trailer:
