One of the character’s most striking features Trunksof “Dragon Ball Super” is certainly its frankness, that is, sincerity.
The character is known as one of the best Saiyan warriors and, by working with this idea, we can believe that he is an extremely brave person.
However, those who watched the anime and, especially, read the manga, know very well that when we talk about courage and Trunks in the same sentence, we should be wary, as he could be a big fake.
And the previous statement is necessary because he has a great fear of ghosts, which makes him more vulnerable in this regard and does not make him that strong. But, after all, who is not afraid of something, cast the first stone, right?
However, since “Dragon Ball Super” is counting its days to return after a break, why don’t we talk more about Trunks and Goten?

Trunks, the great hoax
Throughout the story of “Dragon Ball Super”, we often see Trunks take the lead in some battles, but mainly in one in particular. In the aforementioned edition, this scene was even added as a prelude.
In this part of the story, we will see the son of Goku and Vegeta, who will take control of the events in this episode, for the first time, in chapter #88 of “Dragon Ball Super”.
The scene is one of peace and tranquility, with nothing to worry about but to live high school life. However, that is not enough for Trunks and Goten.
After a few attempts to dispel his boredom, Trunks still remains discouraged, and it is at this point that his friends decide to put him to the test and see if he is capable of facing any evil being, so they challenge him to enter a haunted house.
It is at this moment that he admits to not being very brave and ends up sharing his fear of ghosts, however, this is not the only time that Trunks is exposed to this very dark fear that he has, as later, he and Goten go to investigate rumors of ghosts.
In short, Trunks is not a fake, he just needs to gradually overcome his fear, until it no longer becomes a point to be exploited by his enemies.
