Rise and fall: Steam’s big hit of 2022, ‘Super People 2’ to be discontinued

The launch of a new game always draws players’ attention to discover all the possibilities that exist. In recent months, a title has stood out in the gaming universe and has become one of the most accessed by Steam users. However, the closure of “Super People 2”ending his fame.

Changing gaming landscape

After the launch of “Super People” in October 2022, users began to identify problems, and this required a lot of dedication from the developers to try to solve each one of them. There were so many changes that the company responsible decided to rename the product to “Super People 2” just two months later.

Even with all the changes, the new battle royale faced all the possible problems that the other games also faced, however, with an unwanted ending.

The closure of “Super People 2” was confirmed after the frequent drop in concurrent users since the end of last year. While the game initially had more than 50 thousand players, by May it already had less than 300 active players.

What were the main problems?

The gameplay system of battle royale allows players to act with the intention of circumventing the rules to achieve their goals. The mass presence of so-called “hackers” was the main complaint among the community, which generated disinterest of new players, as well as discouraging previous ones from continuing to play.

The number of players impacted the game’s experience because it is a multiplayer model. The distance between active players caused problems with ping (latency rate), and even the bot strategy was not popular. Without a solution to the problems identified, the game will be removed from the platforms on August 21st.

The company released an apology about what happened and the need to closing of activities. Although it was not what was desired at the beginning, the fall of the community members led to its tragic end and temporary success.
