In a universe where passion for animes intertwined with the search for high-quality experiences, the Crunchyroll platform emerges as a beacon for fans.
Now statements from the company’s director have echoed refreshing promises: a significant increase in dubbed content.
This strategic shift not only demonstrates a thoughtful response to the demands of an audience eager for diverse content, but also highlights the platform’s firm commitment to improving accessibility and the consumer experience for Brazilian audiences.

One of the topics discussed was the possibility of the platform increasing the distribution of dubbed anime, a point that many fans have been raising lately.
In response to IGN Brazil, Gonzalez gave viewers hope about this addition.
“We’re always working on it — we have 40 to 50 titles dubbed per season. Obviously, there are still thousands of episodes we need to talk about, and we’re listening to the audience to understand which titles are best for dub so we can have as much local content as possible,” explains Gonzalez.
Furthermore, the director spoke about the company’s plans Crunchyroll to expand the platform’s presence in Brazil. He says that the project is strategic, but that it is not expected to happen soon.
“We are expanding the team here because we want to increase our presence in the country. We now have Gabriela Castro as our new marketing director for Brazil, and we are hiring another structure that will help us build these partnerships. […] So this is part of the plan, it won’t happen now, but it’s part of what we’re trying to develop with the new strategy,” highlights the director.
Therefore, Brazilian anime fans can expect not only more productions in Portuguese, but also other new developments in the long term.
