The reality version of the Korean series ‘Round 6’ is causing a stir! The latest episode of the production, which was named ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ in English, has already been released by Netflix.

One of the more than 450 participants was finally crowned the winner of the competition. He received the multi-million dollar sum after surviving the challenges of the reality show, but the question remains: did the other competitors also receive something for participating in the program?

It is worth remembering that the idea of ​​’Round 6′ is to get people out of their debt-ridden lives and give them a chance to earn some money to get out of a difficult financial situation.

The differences between the fictional version and the ‘challenge’ version are that, of course, participants who lose the challenges do not die. So, don’t worry: Netflix did not hurt anyone, as far as we know.

The philosophy, however, which consists of competition for the value that increases with each elimination, is very present in the program.

It was filmed over 16 days and managed to bring together competitors from different cities and backgrounds.

Removed from their respective realities, the participants were placed in scenarios very similar to those in the fictional series and subjected themselves to the same game processes and interpersonal relationships to win the prize.

The big issue is that they weren’t paid for participating. That’s right, only the winner received any money. In other words, out of 456 participants, only one left with a full pocket.

This information was revealed in the TikTok by Radhika Srinivasan, who was participant number 382.

She responded to a question about how much each person received and said:

“Zero. Zero GBP, zero USD. Zero rupees, zero won, zero pesos, zero euros, zero. Literally zero.”

‘Everything or nothing’

Radhika added that her presence in ‘Round 6: The Challenge’ involved an “all or nothing” deal.

Everyone agreed to participate just for the chance to take home the $4.56 million; otherwise, it would be nothing:

“But I must say that the production covered all the transportation, including the international flights that arrived in London. I, for example, don’t live very far from Londonbut they organised a taxi, a train and literally everything I needed to get to the venue and back home,” she said.

The young woman even joked about the situation, saying:

“Yeah, we went in there with the clothes they gave us, a bag full of toiletries, and we came out with a group trauma. We came out with a lot of crazy, extreme, abstract memories.”

For Radhika, participating in the show was a “wild experience” and, if she had to, she says, she would do it all over again without any regrets.
