Anyone who follows the DC Comics universe knows everything about Superman, especially his weakness, which is Kryptonite. However, it seems that the tables have turned and a new object, even more deadly for the hero, has been introduced.
That’s right, you read that right. The information was revealed in the new series called “Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent”. It tells in detail how Superman can die from something other than kryptonite and what can be done to prevent it. We’ll tell you everything about this new feature presented by DC Comics.
What is the object more lethal than kryptonite to Superman?
In issue #1 of “Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent,” written by Tom Taylor and drawn by Clayton Henry, we discover that the villain Ultraman is back and even more powerful. For those who don’t know him, he’s an evil copy of Superman and is set on Earth 3.
Upon his return, he wants to kill all existing versions of Superman, on all Earths. So, he imprisons Jonathan Kent in a volcano and travels throughout the Multiverse brutally hunting down the other variants of the hero.
However, he does not carry kryptonite with him, which, in theory, is Superman’s weakness. This is because he has a device that is capable of affecting the hero at a cellular level, thus killing the character once and for all, without any chance of revenge or help.
When Ultraman manages to kill a version of Superman, Val-Zod travels to DC’s main Earth to convince Jonathan Kent (the canonical version) that he should team up with the character and Red Tornado so that together they can defeat the villain.
And that’s how Jonathan Kent discovers that if Ultraman reaches that Earth, the device will be activated by the villain and he will be able to kill Kal-El. So, Jonathan feels it is his duty to try to stop the character so that he cannot complete his plan.
In other words, now, in the DC universe there is a cellular device capable of killing Superman, which was created just for that purpose, even more powerful than kryptonite itself.
