Spider-Man: THIS DC version highlights the hero’s MAIN ability

Spider-Man is one of the most popular and acclaimed Marvel characters by the public. The hero is actually Peter Paker, a young man bitten by a radioactive spider that infected him and turned him half-man, half-spider. One of his abilities as a spider is being able to shoot webs.

Generally, Spider-Man uses this power to climb walls, launch himself into dangerous places and even stop trains. But there was no great exploration of this ability by Marvel, so another character received the power in a more updated form by DC.

“Spider-Boy #1” is a DC Comics comic book released in 1996, as part of the “Amalgam Comics” crossover. The story was written by Karl Kesel and illustrated by Mike Wieringo, and combines elements of Marvel and DC Comics characters, specifically Spider-Man and Superboy.

With this ability, Spider-Boy can fly, jump long distances, and defy gravity in impressive ways.

Spider-Boy’s ability to control gravity was a welcome update to the character, making him unique and setting him apart from the original Spider-Man. This power has not been fully explored by Marvel and Peter’s fans would probably like to see him levitate and control gravity.
