Why did Pedro Pascal appear with a sling on his arm at the Golden Globes?

An image caught the public’s attention Golden Globes 2024, which took place this Sunday (7), in Los Angeles, United States. Actor Pedro Pascal, 48, worried fans when he appeared at the awards ceremony wearing a sling on his right arm.

The star of ‘The Last Of Us’, a series from HBO Max which was hugely successful in 2023, was one of the contenders for the award. He was nominated in the Best Actor in a Drama Series category for his portrayal of the character Joel.

As soon as he arrived at the place, Pascal stood out among the other movie stars. And the reason was, precisely, the accessory he used to hold his arm close to his body.

As one could imagine, everyone didn’t understand the reason for the sling and, when questioned during an interview on the red carpet, the actor gave a humorous answer, but without going into details. “I fell!” he said.

Then, Pascal added: “Be careful! This can happen to anyone.” And he followed the path to enter the award venue. The actor seemed happy despite everything, as this was his first Golden Globe nomination.

The performance in ‘The Last of Us’ was highly praised, but Pascal didn’t take home the award. The winner of the category was actor Kieran Culkin, who gave life to the character Roman Roy, one of the heirs of the billionaire family of ‘Succession’another HBO Max production.

When it was time to receive the award, Culkin even joked with Pascal, who was listening to the audience’s speech. “Suck it, Pedro! It’s mine,” he told his colleague.

Pascal joined in and the actor responded by making a “pouting” lamentation, which made the audience laugh. He had an injured arm, but was visibly in good spirits.
