DC and Marvel will meet again in comics

DC and Marvel decided to reopen the portals to stories that marked eras, announcing the reprint of the crossovers in two new omnibus volumes.

Starting August 6, 2024, fans will be able to purchase ‘DC Versus Marvel Omnibus’ and ‘DC/Marvel: The Amalgam Age Omnibus’ at participating bookstores and local comic shops, each with exclusive covers, while supplies last.

Over the years, DC and Marvel have provided comic book fans with a number of memorable crossovers, blending their universes in creative and exciting ways.

By bringing these stories back to light, publishers are offering new readers the chance to experience the magic of these encounters, and longtime fans the opportunity to revisit some of the most iconic moments from this rich joint history.

‘DC Versus Marvel Omnibus’ brings back to fans’ reach a collection of historic editions, originally co-published by the two giants, DC and Marvel.

These editions stood out for uniting characters and teams in memorable confrontations and alliances.

From the clash between Superman and the Amazing Spider-Man in 1976 to the unexpected union of Batman and Daredevil in 2000, the volume celebrates the talent of legendary names such as Dennis O’Neil, George Pérez, Dan Jurgens, Chris Claremont, among others , in stories that remained inaccessible for decades.

On the other hand, ‘DC/Marvel: The Amalgam Age Omnibus’ dives into a singular era of comics: the creation of the Amalgam Universe in 1996.

This unusual experiment merged the universes and characters of DC and Marvel, generating extraordinary combinations such as Dark Claw (Batman and Wolverine) and Super Soldier (Superman and Captain America).
