If Apple has a habit of releasing 4 new iPhones at the same time every year, sometimes some models see delivery dates change due to certain production delays. According to an analyst shared by 9to5Mac, exactly this could happen with this new generation iPhone 15.
Indeed, according to him, the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will be introduced on September 12 and will be released on September 22, about 10 days later. However, the Pro Max model, which can also be called Ultra, It will face production issues that will force Apple to delay release until next month.
iPhone 15 Pro Max will be delayed due to periscope
The reason for this delay may be the new Sony periscope camera of the high-end device. As a reminder, this is the first time Apple has opted for this type of sensor in one of its smartphones, which is why the company is considering renaming its device to “iPhone 15 Ultra”.
According to previous reports this would be a periscope offering at least 6X optical zoom. So this sensor is much more complex than the others, and that may be why Sony encountered delays during its production. Alongside the periscope, there will also be a new action button, a titanium bezel and a display with thinner edges.
According to the analyst, therefore its release will be postponed to at least October 3, or even October 13. For this reason, you will have to be a little more patient before buying, but in any case, let us remind you that Apple plans to increase prices on all models again this year. This new increase could bring the iPhone 15 Pro Max closer to the 2500 euro mark, which is unheard of in an iPhone.
