On the other hand, the Resolution mode, which offers 4K at 30 FPS, offers a much more pleasing experience to the eye, especially when Ray Tracing is active. As for the framerate, this viewing mode is very good, because with VRR enabled (provided you have an HDMI 2.1 compatible display), we easily approach 40 to 50 FPS.

On the gameplay side, fans are on familiar ground. We find the famous shoulder camera popularized by the original episode, and as in the first work, this good old The Leon is still maneuverable at 38 tons. To compensate for the character’s harshness, the studio added a few moves to the Special Agent palette.

Yes, the knife has a measure of use that ends with eliminations, counters, and parries.

Finally, let’s address one last point about their first impression: Difficulty. Too much to say right away, it promises to be the most convoluted. In any case, in the demo, while the enemies put up a holy resistance, ammo is scarce, as is the healing. And when it gets too much, especially during the famous village attack at the beginning of the game, you can quickly find yourself overwhelmed. Especially when Leon’s slow movements don’t work well… But on the one hand, Capcom manages to put the player under pressure in this way and is successful at this point.
