There is also an “approaching storm”, a wall of fog that swirls around the player and shrinks over time. It’s not dangerous to stand in the fog for a moment, but if you do it for more than ten seconds, you’ll just… die. And since it’s single player, no one can lift you up. This means you have to be fast; The storm expands and repositions every time you complete an objective, so keep moving forward and you must stay safe. Although Kandarian Dagger is in one of the two zones, the Necronomicon is always in the Knowby Cabin. Head there and there will be some new resources in the main room along with a rare Fire Ax and Epic Meat Row. Don’t touch the Necronomicon just yet – instead grab the Fire Ax (better than Cleaver, although it’s less rare) and kill the Deadite Scotty who is attacking you. Scotty is tough, but vulnerable to headshots – after his offensive attacks miss you, use your crossbow to take him down. Take everything you can from the cabin, heal/shield if you need it, and interact with the book when you’re ready for battle.

When you pick up the book, you will be locked in the fog area until you kill eight skeletons. We recommend staying inside the cabin – with just two directions and more ambient light for them to come, you’ll have a better understanding of the area and your enemies. Use the crossbow for precise headshots when they’re in doorways or hallways, and don’t forget the hit/kill combination! Some will drop resources like Shemp’s Cola and the last one will drop an Epic Crossbow (you should get it, but you obviously won’t have it for long).

Now that this is over, head north to the Gate in the little mine. As you get closer, Evil Ash will appear and provoke something that the game pretends to be a boss fight but isn’t actually. 6. Head to the Sewage Treatment Plant for the legendary crossbow and more

Your next location is Payne Mansion to get a sword that can kill Evil Ash, but first, follow a path towards the area marked “Sewage Treatment Plant” on the map. In that place is ammo, resources, and an obviously crashed car covered in a legendary version of the crossbow. Catch! It will be your best friend for the rest of the mission. When you’re done, head to Payne Mansion.

7. Kill the flute skeletons to enter Payne Mansion

Payne Mansion is patrolled by various elite skeletons, but as you get closer you’ll see multiple red crosses on the map. Except for the one in Payne Mansion itself, these all point to flute-playing skeletons nearby that you need to kill – they cast a spell that closes the doors inside the mansion so you can’t get in. Kill them all quickly, use hit-and-run tactics and be aware of stronger elite skeletons before they hit you. Payne Mansion will open when you kill the last one.

You’re not really safe in Payne Mansion – skeletons will keep spawning outside and come to harass you – but grab the sword just yet. Doing so will trigger the next target, reposition the storm/fog, and make it harder to scan the mansion for the Amulet, ammo, and gear you need to do first. There’s also a legendary blunderbuss upstairs, but we don’t recommend it over the legendary crossbow you already have. This is not an empirical true/false thing, we just think the crossbow is slightly better overall. Get everything quickly, then grab the sword on the way out. It’s a deadly melee weapon that will kill most enemies in one hit – unfortunately not Evil Ash himself. Note that this is your last chance to stock up before the hardest part of the mission.

9. Return to the North Gate to escape the past

Now you need to run/drive all the way to the Portal in the mine where you first encountered Evil Ash. Do your best to avoid unnecessary enemies along the way and keep an eye out for those who want to stab you in the ass. Efficiency is key, so play frugal until you reach the Portal and travel back in time to the Kandar Castle Dungeons. When you emerge, there will be a Talisman in front of you – grab it and enter the cage on the left to start the first of the two boss fights.

10. Kill Pit Deadite with maximum efficiency

The storm/fog element is no longer an issue – so take your time in this fight. The Pit Deadite is basically a single-move tank – it rushes towards you with melee blows – so gauge your stamina, dodge those attacks with a sideways step, and fire a few melee hits before backing out. Don’t bother with ranged attacks; this thing shrugs them off and you’re just burning ammo, for a moment you’re going to need more.

The key here is to lose as little health as possible to be ready for the bigger threat that comes, so take your time and take your time. You don’t need to beat the clock or risk your neck to get a few small hits, so play it as safe as possible until Deadite is defeated. Collect the Talisman and Coke it drops and use it before the next fight that starts right away…

11. How to Kill Evil Ash in the final boss fight?

Be careful – this is boss fight wretched, and if you die you have to restart the whole quest which is even worse. Evil Ash himself is a tank, summons more skeletons when given the chance, his melee combos are deadly and hard to dodge, and he has this silly inescapable grapple move where he forcefully chokes you without warning. Here are some basic tips in hopes that you don’t have to do this fight more than a few times maximum.

• Stay in range. All Ash’s attacks require close proximity, and it’s a good general principle to stay out of the sword’s range, although backing off isn’t easy considering you’re both in a small hole. He shoots fire in his head and only try to wield a sword if he has no other choice.
• Be aware of your resilience. With every attack Ash does, the heavy ones are the last thing you want to run out of energy to escape. Use light attacks, sprint rarely, and make sure you always have something in the tank – if you run out of stamina, you’re defenseless.
• If Evil Ash summons skeletons, kill them quickly. A single hit will either destroy them or leave them vulnerable to being knocked down – either way, you don’t want to get bogged down in numbers. Clean them as soon as possible so they don’t take your health.
• Evil Ash’s standard sword combo is a nightmare that’s hard to get over. It can inflict three different and deadly blows on the player, each of which shatters your health bar. We think the best thing to do is to dodge under him on the first attack and then run in the opposite direction. past he. However, the narrow limits of the pit will still make it difficult.
