The walkthrough in our Evil Dead game Mission 3 will help you defeat the demon Demi-Eligos and complete the Kill Em All mission, it’s not easy. It’s worth it though, because solving this quest is how to unlock Amanda Fisher in the game Evil Dead and get a chance to win more (equally challenging) missions. Here we’ll show you how to beat the Evil Dead game Mission 3, Kill ‘Em All with full walkthroughs and tips, as well as how to beat Demi-Eligos and Eligos boss fights.
To beat the Evil Dead game Mission 3, Kill ‘Em All, follow these steps:
- Quickly search the farm for resources.
- Drive the Oldsmobile carefully to the first position.
- Fight the dead from the highest point.
- Drive carefully to the second position.
- Get the fire ax and more ammo before starting the fight.
- Kill demons with precision headshots and melee attacks.
- Kill Demi-Eligos with careful evasion techniques.
- Drive carefully to the third position.
- Get more Talismans and ammo.
- Kill the Last Dead and defeat Eligos.
Obviously, many of these are easier said than done, so you can click or scroll down to the individual tips for more information on these steps and how to do them.
This mission has three unique challenges – conserving your ammo and resources, understanding how demons melee to conserve said ammo, and doing everything within the time limit – we do a nail-biting twelve minutes no matter what you do (hence protecting Oldsmobile/Delta why is it so important). We’ll explain the different steps below and how you can get the best chance for success.
1. Quickly search the Faison Farm for Ammo, Shemp’s Cola and Amulets
Once the mission begins, you’ll have an instant-on twelve-minute timer, your legendary Lever-Action Rifle, and no melee weapon beyond your fists. The car is right in front of you, but first (very quickly) you need to filter through Faison Farm’s various warehouses for ammo (enough to max out your limit), plus three cans of Shemp’s Cola and three cans. Talismans and even some matches to use if your fear gets out of control. Beware of the tree on the west side, it may come at you occasionally and as soon as you have everything you can carry, use an Amulet and go to the car.
2. Drive the Oldsmobile carefully to the next location without crashing
This is important: You want to drive the car as long as possible because the timer is so brutal – but the car is not in good shape. Bumping into something or getting hit by a Deadite risks breaking it permanently; this means you have to run for the rest of the mission and lose more time that could be spent moving forward. Take the main roads to the next marked location, being careful not to hit anything, and park a reasonable distance from the actual arena to avoid getting caught in the crossfire.
3. Fight the Rail Loop Dead from the high score advantage
Once you arrive at the wheat field near the Railroad Loop, you will need to kill twelve standard Deadites. Head to the platform near the hill where ammo is plentiful and try to pick up the Deadites that spawn – a single headshot should kill them all and a few melee attacks will kill them in a pinch. Don’t dodge and watch your flank – they can easily spawn behind you. Feel free to be a little more liberal with your rifle at this stage as ammo is more plentiful – but it won’t be forward-looking. Otherwise, here are some helpful tips:
- These Dead will explode when they die, unless you defeat them and kill them. It’s a short range blast, so dodge backwards to avoid it.
- They dash forward with many attacks, so rather than dodge directly backwards, dodge your dodges or they’ll catch you anyway.
- You can kill them with four or five unarmed fists.
- Listen carefully for their voices that indicate whether they are behind you and look for the directional arrows that indicate they are about to disappear.
- Use Shemp’s Cola when your health drops below 50% (this applies to the entire quest).
4. Re-drive carefully to the next location
The next area is an area between Dead End and Royal Oak Cemetery – and again, you have to be very careful not to damage your Oldsmobile. Take the main road, you won’t bump into anything even if it’s not a straight line, and it’s still fast enough not to make a big difference. Park some distance from the field – you don’t want it to get caught in the carnage – and head indoors.
5. Get the fire ax and more ammo before starting the 2nd wave
There are a few common melee weapons you can pick up nearby – and we recommend the fire axe. It has slightly better stats, and a single standard attack will leave the enemy vulnerable to being knocked down. Alternatively, a single heavy attack instantly kills standard Deadites. Gather nearby ammo and go to the beacon to start the second wave.
6. Kill demons with precision headshots and melee attacks
As it rarely happens, ammo saving becomes much more important now. Use your ax to finish off enemies whenever possible, and if you must shoot, aim to the head for instant kills. Check out the tips for phase 1 to see how to overcome standard fears. Halfway through, the Demi-Eligos boss will appear – avoid him as much as you can and kill any remaining Deadites before you can deal with him one-on-one.
7. How to kill Demi-Eligos?
Demi-Eligos can deal massive damage with every hit – and no matter how good your Rifle is, you’ll want to use your ax in this fight to conserve ammo for the next. Here are some basic tips on how to beat Demi-Eligos, arguably the hardest encounter in this mission.
- As before, when he attacks you, dodge sideways, not backwards. You can follow this up with at least one melee attack. Be careful, it can swipe backwards to follow.
- When it crackles with electricity, just pick one direction and move in that direction – it’s about to strike lightning at your location for massive damage, so get out fast. It is not necessary to run away if you just keep moving.
- Demi-Eligos can spawn a clone of himself with much less health but the same attacks. Kill instantly when you see it! It’s always the one created on the left (assuming Demi-Eligos is looking at you). A few melee swings should kill him before he starts fighting.
- Again, have a Coke when your health drops below 50%.
8. Drive the car (a little) carefully to the third position
Finally make your way to the final location, Fairview Campground. Again, you have to drive carefully, but considering this is the final location, you can probably drive a car. a little Less careful as there is no need for Oldsmobile from this point on. If it’s broken before this point, traverse the wilderness and run as fast as you can – you’ll want as much time as possible for the final fight. If your fear is getting out of control, fire VERY fast to get yourself under control.
9. Get more Talismans and ammo before starting the final wave
The campsite has some ammo and at least one Amulet. If your shield is broken, grab it and use it and ignore the spear invitingly near you – we still think the fire ax is the ultimate melee weapon. When you’re ready, go to the marker and the final battle begins. We hope you still have five minutes for this part – if it’s three or less, you need to be careful.
10. How to kill Eligos?
Finally, you will fight three Deadite and Eligos bosses at the same time. Again, start by killing Deadites with melee to get them out of the way, then it’s time to fight Eligos, a largely ranged monster that’s the reason you save ammo. Here are some basic tips:
- Eligos teleports across the battlefield, and each time he teleports, there’s a pause of about one second before firing a projectile at Ash. Dodge and you must learn attack patterns quickly. Eligos will have a few seconds cooldown for you to retaliate.
- Sometimes Eligos will teleport right next to you and attempt a melee attack for massive damage. Dodge as a priority! This is potentially endgame and not worth the risk for a few quick ax strikes.
- Use your rifle and take careful headshots, keeping in mind the ammo shortage.
- You’ll have trouble if you run out of bullets – Eligos’ short cooldown means you’ll struggle to get him into melee before he teleports.
It’s a very difficult task even with all these hints but with some skill and luck you should have completed Mission 3: Kill All. Great.
Complete Mission 3, unlock a few extras, and even if you find it a nightmare, it’s probably worth striving for these bonuses:
- Amanda Fisher (Hunter character)
- Known Record 3
- Newly unlocked quest 4: “He won’t let us go!”
