In Fortnite, you align the star sensors by dealing damage in the correct order, and we’re here to show you how so you don’t spend too much time dashing at them with your pickaxe. Before we begin, we’re taking ourselves a little bit further, given that you need to get to the second set of Oaths in Fortnite and then head to the right location to set up your star sensors and cosmic monitor. This is also the decline. If you’re unsure of the order in which you should hit to align the star sensors in Fortnite, here’s the solution.
Where to plant star sensors in Fortnite
To align star sensors in Fortnite you must first place them, you will be prompted to do so when you reach the second Oatbound mission group. After making a second contact with Rift Guardian Stellan, you will be prompted to place star sensors and a cosmic monitor at Hidden Henge, a landmark in the middle of the grassy field northwest of Faulty Splits. To set your equipment for the next step, go to the location marked on the map and once you get there interact with the glowing outlines around the stone circle.
How to align Fortnite star sensors
There is little finesse in the process of aligning the star sensors in Fortnite, as you need to calibrate this delicate technical equipment… hit them in the right order with your harvester. There are five sensors in total, and while you can use trial and error to eventually come up with the solution, the puzzle is much easier to understand so you can follow along logically as well.
If you look closely at the star sensors, you will see that they are marked by different phases of the moon, from the growing crescent to the first quarter, the full moon and the third quarter, and even the waning crescent. The technical terms don’t matter, all you need to know to align the star sensors in Fortnite is to hit them in the order shown in the image above. As you damage each one in turn, it flashes and turns gray, so don’t worry if you go out of line as previous sensors won’t reset. With all five aligned, interact with the center cosmic monitor and this part of the Oathbound missions will be complete.
