The iPhone is a great companion for many tasks, but one previously unequal space is using it for reminders. Fortunately, the Reminders app helps users stay up to date with to-do lists and various other reminders.
There are many apps in the app store that offer a solution for to-do lists, but none of them work as well as the list functionality in the reminders app. In the Reminders app, multiple lists can be set up to keep track of personal tasks, work-related to-do lists, and any other form of list.
The following post will show you both how to use Reminders app on iPhone and how to create multiple lists.
How to use Reminders and Setup Lists
The Reminders app has been a part of iOS since the iOS 5 update, so you can take advantage of it as long as your iPhone is updated to iOS 5 or higher.
Faucet
Tap to show all available reminder lists.
If the user has an email account attached to the device that supports reminders, it may appear as follows in addition to the default iCloud account.
Name and select the list
After the list is created, select it.
In the new list, tap in the upper right corner to add tasks to the list.
After a few to-do items have been added to the list, tap the to-do icon.
The most common reminder method is date and time. Select the slider and turn it
Then a box will pop up so that the user can set the date and time for the reminder to happen. There is also an option for the reminder to occur multiple times by tapping . When the duration and repeat are set, tap .
There are also additional details that can be assigned to a reminder. Tap to add them.
In the Show more area, the priority of the reminder and in which list it will appear can be changed and notes can be added.
Faucet
By default it is set to No Priority but the user can select it and when done
Another way for the app to remind the user is by location. Using the GPS on the iPhone, the Reminders app can send a user an alert when they leave or arrive at a place.
To enable it, tap on it and turn the slider to .
The user should then tap whether they want the location reminder to sound when they leave or arrive at the location.
Then select the box above
By default, the current location is selected and a home address may appear as an option. In both of these options, the user can type a custom address. When the location is entered or selected, tap to return to the previous screen.
One last cool trick the Reminders app can do is add items from Siri to the list.
To add items to the list you created from Siri,
This will create the reminder in the correct list, if you don’t specify which list to put the reminder in, it will be placed in the default iCloud reminders list.
