Modern Warfare 2 secure code combination for El Sin Nombre and Alone missions

There are three Modern Warfare 2 secure codes hidden throughout the new campaign. Unlocking them gives you extra gear to aid you in the El Sin Nombre and Alone missions, and easy access to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 ‘Gentleman Thief’ Trophy or Achievement. Below you will find Modern Warfare 2 safe code combinations and locations.

All Modern Warfare 2 safe codes

The Modern Warfare 2 campaign has three safes located in the following areas:

• El Sin Nombre secure code (02-02-19) is hidden in the closet in Diego’s room, upstairs in the apartment complex.
• Safe code only 1 (10-10-80) upstairs of the coffee shop, just after meeting the dying man.
• Solo Safe code 2 (37-60-80), In the Atelier below the coffee shop, which can be found outside by making a sharp left turn.

• Safe code: 02-02-19
• Prize: Silenced Lockwood 300 shotgun and Plate Carrier armor

In the El Sin Nombre mission, which sees you and Alejandro infiltrating a cartel bunker, you’ll have free reign to explore as long as you don’t trigger war with any suspicious activity. You will need to go to the second floor of the complex and find the long corridor. When you get there, look for the door opposite the elevator – this is Diego’s room and the location of the first Modern Warfare 2 safe.

The El Sin Nombre safe code is in a portrait in the same room, but you can run straight to the locker at the back of the room, open it and punch the safe 02-02-19. Access to the Lockwood 300 shotgun and Plate Carrier armor – you’ll need both to survive the onslaught that comes your way.

• Safe code: 10-10-80
• Prize: Silenced .50 GS pistol and throwing knives

There are two secret vault codes in the Alone mission, which leaves Soap unarmed in the Las Almas area. The first arrives relatively late, after Ghost teaches you the basics of crafting weapons and equipment over the radio, but before the apocalypse strikes. After surviving the winding streets you’ll come across a green door – it’s a booby trapped by a Lockwood shotgun, so sneak in through an open window, disable the trap, and head upstairs. Once there, you’ll encounter a dying man at the end of a hallway and a cafe just beyond it.

Do not go to the lower floors of the coffee shop, because this will trigger the next encounter of the quest. Instead, you’ll want to turn left while you’re still upstairs and look for the door that says “no entry”. Open the door with a lookout tool – you should have plenty of crafting materials around if you need it – and there you’ll find the second Modern Warfare 2 safe code. Either check the calendar on the wall or use code 10-10-80 to get the seven-round Silenced .50 GS pistol.

• Prize: Crossbow and throwing knives

After you go downstairs, you will be surrounded by guards in the cafeteria. You can get this status either sneakily or out loud, but here we’ll assume you choose the former. From where you landed on the lower floors of the coffee shop, sneak to the back and exit through a door to the left of the building – you’ll enter an alley and want to head towards the white parked car. Enter the blue door and the safe will be right there, waiting for you to enter code 37-60-80 to get a crossbow and two bolts of ammo.

If you want to find the safe code yourself, go to the next room and check the repairman’s computer – you will find everything you need there. Additionally, if you can’t get into the alley because of the patrol officers, you can always go in front of the cafe, turn left and go under a partially open sliding door. Either way, you’ll need those crossbows and throwing knives if you want to get through this area without triggering the alarm and make the mission 100% more difficult.
