Activator iOS 9 Cydia Tweak Update Arrived

One of the most popular iOS 9 Cydia tweaks has received a major update for iOS 9. Activator now officially supports iOS 9 on iPhone and iPad.

An iOS 9 jailbreak was released in October, just a month after iOS 9 was first released. However, many jailbreak tweaks were not compatible with the latest version of iOS. The activator was finally updated to a beta version working with iOS 9, but until now the tweak no longer officially supported iOS 9.

While Activator worked mostly well with iOS 9, even when it was in beta, it was still fraught with bugs and issues for many users. However, the classic tweak has been updated and appears to be releasing a handful of new features in the meantime, along with fixing many of the problems jailbreak users have had with the Activator over the past few weeks.

Some new features for the Activator include Split View multitasking support on iPad, optimizations for memory usage, and support for Breadcrumb links. Check out the list below for the full changelog.

If you’re not familiar with Activator, it’s essentially an automation and shortcut tool for jailbroken iOS devices, allowing you to set the actions your iPhone automatically performs at a given time or set a shortcut for a set of actions performed. when you press a single button.

Of course, this is really just a brief rundown of what Activator can do, and even the most seasoned users can find something new and exciting to do with the Activator.

This is the first major update to the Activator in iOS 9 and it’s certainly been welcomed, but hopefully we’ll see even more updates to the tweak in the future, especially some users still having the same issues as beforeand many users are now seeing new issues arise.

The good news is that the Activator developer will fix these new issues soon.

If you don’t have a jailbroken iPhone or iPad but are interested in jailbreaking it, you’ll want to make sure you’re on iOS 9.0 and not iOS 9.1, as iOS 9.1 isn’t jailbroken yet. If you’re already using iOS 9.1, unfortunately you can’t downgrade, so sooner or later you’ll have to wait for the release of a new jailbreak with iOS 9.1 jailbreak or iOS 9.2 jailbreak.
