3 Reasons Google Now Should Replace Siri on Your iPhone

iPhone comes with its own virtual assistant software called Siri, but here are three reasons why Google Assistant replaces Siri on your iPhone.

While Google Assistant is mostly seen as an Android feature, you might not know that it is also available on iPhone where iOS users can take advantage of Google Assistant without Android.

Google Assistant is essentially Android’s version of Siri, with some special features that make it somewhat unique. Searching the web and even searching for travel information, weather, stocks, etc. You can use it to look, which is pretty cool.

Both Siri and Google Assistant have their pros and cons, especially on the iPhone, but depending on what you use virtual assistants for and what you use them for, Google Assistant may actually be a better option for you.

Here are three reasons why Google Assistant should replace Siri on your iPhone.

Information at Your Fingertips

What makes Google Assistant really great is that you can get the information you need without even searching in the first place.

Weather, stocks, sports scores, news, etc. All of the things like Google Assistant can be accessed by simply opening the Google app on the iPhone.

In fact, if you’re traveling, you’ll get some general information about the city you’re in right now, along with the sightseeing information; this can be great if you are visiting a place for the first time.

You can get this information using Siri, but you must first call it by asking Siri to open it. It saves some time with Google Assistant and is a nice little convenience.

Better Voice Recognition

This varies from user to user, but I find that Google Assistant is much better at accurately recognizing what I’m saying, while Siri sometimes gets hit or miss.

Siri often misunderstands words, especially if they are compound words or more complex words, and even misunderstands homonyms like “reel” or “truth” and “pray” or “hunt”.

But Google Assistant does a much better job with this, and even if I do a really bad job of articulating and speaking, Google Assistant usually picks up exactly what I’m saying without issue, which is really impressive.

Better Search Results

Along with Google Assistant’s better voice recognition, I feel like Google Assistant’s voice search features gave me much better search results than Siri.

There are a few things Siri hasn’t quite figured out yet, like asking Siri what the weather will be like. may not actually give you the airor ask him when a certain date will be reveal something completely different.

I haven’t come across this with Google Assistant yet, so if I need to search for something on the internet, I tend to use Google’s voice search feature instead of Siri.

Don’t get me wrong though, Siri is great at many things, and the iOS integration makes it the obvious choice if you’re using Siri to do many iOS-related tasks like reading back text messages and setting reminders. If you find that you mostly use Siri to make web searches and get answers to questions, you may want to try Google Assistant.

Its search capabilities seem far superior to Siri’s. Plus, Google Assistant is great at recognizing natural language and not having to speak and pronounce clearly every time you make a voice search, which makes your voice sound less awkward when you use voice search.
