To find the answer to the Deathloop tape puzzle, you’ll need to do some digging in Fia’s hideout to find the various pictograms, after discovering Fia and Charlie’s secret meeting place by following a photo clue. Once you get to the point where this puzzle is available in Deathloop, you’ll have some work to do, as it’s not easy to figure out how to use strange machines to open the locked door in front of you. This computer crossed with a combination lock can only be unlocked by pushing four specific cassettes into their respective slots in the correct order and with many different possibilities that you need to know what you are doing. That means finding the right pictures and knowing how to interpret them, so get ready and let us show you how to solve the Deathloop tape puzzle.

How to find the Deathloop tape puzzle

If you haven’t discovered it while exploring yet, you’ll find the tape puzzle as you try to figure out where to look for the Fristad Shore in Deathloop for Charlie and Fia’s secret meeting place. Once you find the door in the photo – go to the shore past Fia’s bunker and then turn left to follow the sea until you see the door with 09 next to it – inside you will find this crazy looking machine.

In the machine you will find the book ‘Sequence of Operations’, which will give you the password to the safe in Yerhva, Queen of the Riddles, in Karl’s Bay. Go there and you’ll find a note inside the safe, which is what you need to really solve the tape puzzle. While you’re there, you can also use Yerhva answers, Queen of Deathloop Riddles, if you haven’t already.

The note tells you where to find, in one round, four pictograms in Fia’s hideout that will give you access to the Deathloop codes to unlock the Deathloop tape puzzle. The tips are:

1. Check out my favorite first, the one lurking under the wheeled giant.
2. My smartest follow fast; Refreshing cabinets.
3. Appreciate my beauty like the oil of the spindle.
4. I’m dreaming of the baby who finally determined my stage debut.

This is a weird way of saying that the pictogram locations are in the following places in Fia’s bunker:

1. Under the big truck at the bunker entrance.
2. In the locker room on the second floor of the reactor room.
3. Inside the lift shaft.
4. From the ground floor exit from the reactor room where the patterned road on the ground floor leads to the bunker exit.

Once you find all the images you should see your Visionary leads look like the one below and you will be ready to go to Fristad Rock.

How to solve the Deathloop tape puzzle

Once you have all four pictograms you will be able to solve the Deathloop pictogram puzzle by carefully pressing all the buttons and checking where the images are marked on the plans on the console. Fortunately, you’ll only have to do this once, because once you get the right combination, the numbers will appear on the console for the first time each time you come back. Once you’ve got all the numbers, the Pumping Station door will open and you’ll be able to explore where Charlies and Fia meet for a little ‘not allowed on island’ fun.
