To make your Windows 10 system play a custom voicemail at startup, you need to create a Visual Basic Script in Notepad. It’s not as difficult as it seems. We will guide you through the steps to help you achieve this in the easiest way possible:
note: I tried this method on Windows 10 PC but it should also work on older Windows versions like 8.1, 8 and 7.
one. Firstly, open Notepad. You can do this by searching for Notepad in the Start menu or by typing “notepad” without quotes in the Run Command line.
2. Now, simply copy and paste the following lines in the empty Notepad file:

welcome=”Welcome, Kshitij”
set speech=CreateObject(“sapi.spvoice”)
talk.talk welcome
You can do Change the “Welcome, Kshitij” message With a message of your choice. Just remember to include the quotation marks.
3. You can now save the file. Save under any name, but Save with .vbs extension. If you try to open this file now, you should hear your private message.
4. To play this message at startup, move this file to Windows Startup folder. You can do this by opening the Run command (or pressing Windows+R) and “shell:start” without quotes.
This should open the Startup folder. Now you can move your file to this folder.
5. That’s it! Now, the next time you log into Windows, you should hear your custom greeting. Is not it beautiful?
