The hugely popular mobile game Pokémon Go has taken over the world, played by millions and draining smartphone owners’ battery and carrier data plans at an alarming rate. However, we have good news. T-Mobile only announced He said they plan to capture more subscribers by giving free unlimited data to all Pokémon Go players to enjoy the mobile gaming phenomenon.
Earlier this year, T-Mobile announced a new program called “T-Mobile Tuesdays,” which is a way to thank millions of users for subscribing by giving them free products. Ahead of the upcoming T-Mobile on Tuesday, July 19, the carrier just made a big announcement.
T-Mobile was all about free movie tickets on Tuesdays, snacks at Wendy’s, fast food, pizza and more, but now they’ve announced something even better. Taking advantage of the Pokémon Go craze T-Mobile is now the best carrier to choose for gamers. Read on for all the details on what’s coming next T-Mobile Tuesday.
Free stuff for Pokemon Players
Starting Tuesday, July 19, T-Mobile will begin offering almost all subscribers unlimited free data to play the popular game. As you all know, Pokémon requires players to go out, roam, travel and use a lot of data on our smartphones. As a result, we’re seeing complaints about users using a 2-3GB monthly data plan too quickly.
Those who enjoy Pokémon Go on T-Mobile next week will not use any of their data plans while playing the game. By basically giving everyone unlimited data for the game, it doesn’t count towards your data cap. It’s worth noting that this is free for 1 year only and T-Mobile reserves the right to terminate the promotion at any time. That said, what else is coming as part of T-Mobile on Tuesday, July 19th. It will be welcome for most Pokémon players.
T-Mobile has been giving giveaways similar to the ones we’ve seen above for the past few weeks since launching Tuesdays, but now it’s targeting the popular mobile game precisely. Users can play whatever they want, get free rides to play it safe (as opposed to playing while driving), not to mention free Frosty from Wendy’s and then 50% off accessories. Tuesday might be a good time to buy a portable battery pack to keep your phone lasting all day while catching the creatures.
To make things even better, 250 customers will receive $100 PokéCoins, and five will win a Pokémon Go hunting trip for themselves and a guest anywhere in the USA.
At the end of the day, this is the same thing T-Mobile is doing with popular services like YouTube, Netflix, and Spotify, by allowing all these services to be used for as long as customers want. They’ve added Pokémon Go to the list of apps that don’t use data while having fun.
Pokémon Go has officially taken over the world. This is just the beginning, so stay tuned for more details.
