Google recently announced its flagship smartphones for 2017 – Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. If you have watched their live presentations, you must have noticed these awesome live wallpapers on these devices. The face of the moon or the waves on the beach or the cloudy hills; they all looked great. However, these live wallpapers are exclusive to Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL only. But wouldn’t it be great if you could get these live wallpapers on your non Pixel device? Well, don’t worry, well-known XDA Developer Pranav Pandey has found a solution. So, if you want to experience the latest set of backgrounds Google has to offer, read on as we show you how to easily get Google Pixel 2’s Live Wallpapers on your Android device:
Get Pixel 2’s Live Wallpapers on Your Android Device
note: The following method works on Android Marshmallow and above (6.0+). While the method should work on all smartphone devices, the wallpaper may lag on low-end (Snapdragon 400 series) or mid-range (Snapdragon 600 series) devices. Therefore, a device with a high-end (Snapdragon 800 series) processor is recommended for optimum results. I tried the method below on my Moto G5S Plus and Mi Mix 2. While it worked on the first, the results were much better with the second. Also, the method below may not work in your default launcher, but you can try using it in a different launcher like below. Nova Launcher.
- To start, Download Pixel Wallpapers 2017 APK for you x86 or arm64 device. Next, install any file manager. we are using Solid Explorer.
- After installing the application, go to your home screen. Long press on an empty area and select “Wallpaper”. Now, swipe right from the list of options and “Live Wallpapers”.
- You will now be presented with a list of Pixel 2’s Live Wallpapers to choose from. Select Live Wallpaper according to your liking and tap on it. “Set wallpaper”.
- This much, Your Live Wallpaper should now be applied.
note: Live Wallpapers may not appear on some devices. In such case, just install Google Wallpapers app and then try the steps mentioned above.

Pixel-ify Your Android Device Using Pixel 2 Live Wallpapers
While live wallpapers are still resource heavy, they give your device a more dynamic look as well as a beautiful look. I am using Pixel 2 Live Wallpaper on my Mi Mix 2 and it looks absolutely stunning with its borderless screen. While owning a Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL isn’t possible for everyone, the feeling of owning the device can definitely be achieved by using this wallpaper.
