Madison Clock Puzzle allows players to set four different clocks to the correct time – not by actually turning the gears, but by replacing the clock faces with different clocks that already show the correct time. Unfortunately, Madison has plenty of clocks to interact with, not just in Grandpa’s Clock Room, but scattered throughout the house. We’ll explain in more detail below how to solve this clock puzzle and what you need to do for it.
Madison Clock puzzle solution
When players finally enter the Clock Room, there will be dozens of clocks hanging on all the walls and standing on all the tables, but only four of them will be able to interact – they have a face and two chambers held in place by two metal arms. below the face above where the latter can be fitted.

If a player has a clock face in their inventory, applying it to any interactive cuckoo clock in the house will cause the clock to be wound, but will already remove the face inside. For example, if a clock shows 7:10 and you have a clock face that displays 12:30, attaching the 12:30 dial to the clock will cause the clock to spit out 7:10 – effectively, you swap them. . You can also swap them back, but you can never remove both faces from a watch. This is a trading game.
Get watch faces
To get started with this trading game, obviously you need the first watch face. Players can obtain it by following the progression path until they open the green safe in Grandpa’s Office, which will have one inside. At this point you can go to any interactive clock in the house and start swapping faces. Apart from the four in the Clock Room, there are four more:
- Just outside your grandfather’s office, there are two safes.
- Outside the Ritual Room where you get the camera at the start of the game.
- In the kitchen, next to the stereo.
- The portrait is in the attic, on the right.
Setting clock times
Things get a little tricky here – as we understand Madison randomly lists the correct answers, so it’s not as simple as repeating what we’ve just told you. However, the method is always the same: Look at each interactive clock in the Clock Room and set it to the same time as the non-interactive clocks around it. So, if all clocks on a wall say 5:15, make sure the interactive clock in the middle matches them and also shows 5:15. With that in mind, the best process for efficiency is:
- The first face comes out from the green safe in Grandpa’s room.
- Go to the Clock Room and look at all the clocks, calculate the four faces you need and which clocks they should show (you might want to write them down).
- Check the faces in the Clock Room to see if there are any faces that can be resolved by switching there.
- Next, go to the list of clocks around the house mentioned above and get the remaining “times” by swapping faces and taking them back to the Clock Room to wear each one.
- If done right, all clocks should start spinning rapidly.
- Take a photo of the door in the Clock Room to finish the puzzle.
It’s also fair to say Madison is going to bother you at this point, but don’t worry – she can’t really hurt you at this point. Prepare for the occasional fear of jumping while you go about your business.
