The last five iPhone events took place in September and while it hasn’t been pinpointed, it’s a date everyone looks forward to as we wait for the announcement of iOS 11, macOS High Sierra, the Apple Watch 3 and possibly the iPhone 8. a new Apple TV.

Mac4Ever carrier sources are reporting that they already know when the iPhone 8 event will take place, and that this date is September 12. This is a Tuesday in mid-September and it makes sense that Apple would prefer Tuesdays and Wednesdays for such events. Apple is unlikely to hold an event on September 6, the day after Labor Day, so it makes sense to pull back on last year’s schedule.
The publication isn’t calling this concrete yet, as they await additional confirmation, but this is very reasonable and would make sense that some carrier personnel should have known beforehand. Carriers must plan ahead for advertising, personnel, logistics, and other details.
Usually iPhone pre-orders start within a few days of the event, so carriers will likely be preparing for a new iPhone behind the scenes. If this report is correct, you can expect iPhone 8 pre-orders to begin on September 15, with the iPhone 8 release date arriving on September 22.
