TIP: All Secret Codes – Easter Eggs on Android

Codes called Easter Eggs to drive your Android smartphone crazy: useless and therefore necessary!

They’re as old as Android, but Moyens I/O has pulled them out of the attic for everyone’s enjoyment. Because if the old ones know them, a lot of new ones have come from time immemorial.

This is called “easter eggs“. Kezako? Day? Don’t panic! A easter eggs it’s just a hidden function in an app. A function that can only be activated by performing certain manipulations.

For example, take this site: LDLC. On the homepage, quickly do the following on your keyboard (works great with Chrome):

have you seen? well this is a easter eggs. A super useless but super fun hidden function.

And of course Android is no exception. He’s a nerd and a good self-respecting nerd as he has a few Easter eggs under his metal frame!

So don’t wait any longer, arm yourself with your smartphone, a PC and let’s get started!

All Hidden Easter Eggs on Android

1/ “Shake” your browser

In fact, it doesn’t really wobble, it just bends a bit, as if after a tilt. You want to see? Open your browser and Type “tilt” in the Google search bar and do “Search”.

The results are, to say the least… uneven!

2/ Image hidden under Gingerbread and HoneyComb
Animation hidden under Ice Cream Sandwich

Since the manipulation is the same in both versions, an image will appear if your smartphone is on 2.3.x or an animation if it is on 4.x.

Go to settings to see your phone’s information and tap the version number several times in a row.

Not bad, right?

How does it sound in Ice Cream Sandwich? A tribute to this 8-bit cat Nyan Cat, who always reminds us of this philosophical phrase:

“If a cat always falls on its paws and buttered bread always falls on the butter side, what happens if you tie the buttered bread on a cat’s back and toss it?”

Come on, some demo video:

3/ Have Chrome make a pirouette

For all owners of smartphones under ICS with ARM7 processors, download the Chrome Beta if you haven’t already:

[app]com.android.chrome[/app]

Turn it on and “tap” a few times. Video display:

Almost better than a Tamagotchi!

Go to your browser and google english. Once there, type “meet android“and do”I am lucky“. A suspicious page informs you that the search has previously returned no results… smashed by a huge BugDroid…

Striking!

5/ A smiley on Chrome Mobile

for the owners Chromium BetaYou do not know Google did not limit the number of simultaneously opened windows. Some smart guy wanted to test the browser, and after 100 windows (the counter cannot display more than two characters), the box was replaced by a smiley.
