It is an open world fantasy game where players must create a town or village, gather resources, build powerful armies, and then fight other players. The biggest potential issue with Lords Mobile is chat. There is a global chat where players can communicate, and when you join a guild you can also talk to others. So there is potential for abuse, harsh language and bullying.

We couldn’t find a way to turn off or disable chat. So, while we don’t necessarily recommend this game for your kids, there’s no reason why they shouldn’t play it. Just know that there are problems that could potentially arise.

Lords Mobile In-App Purchases

The game is completely free to play, but you can and you will probably spend money on the game. You (or your kids) can get gems, and there are dozens of ways to spend gems in the game. Unlock powerful heroes sooner, complete upgrades faster and get a stronger army.

There is definitely a desire to spend money in a game where hugely powerful players or guilds can come and completely destroy your village. Not only that, it almost feels like “pay to win” in some situations. So if you want to keep earning, you’re going to want to keep spending money.

So while you don’t have to spend money, it’s almost impossible not to. As a result, the potential for in-app purchases to spiral out of control is pretty high. Not to mention that kids will definitely spend money. Make sure you have a password in iTunes or Google Play Store to avoid purchasing.
