Over the years we have been exposed to a number of interesting surveys involving Android and iOS users. Some want to be relatively serious and give a better idea of everyone’s consumption habits, like this study, which found that iPhone users switch their smartphones more frequently than their neighbors. Others are milder and seem to exist only to fuel the rivalry between the two camps. It seems that Android users are better lovers than others.
The latter falls into this category – which does not detract from its seriousness. Jerry, a smartphone car insurance comparator, wanted to determine which Android and iPhone users are the best drivers. To do this, the app analyzed the driving data of 20,000 drivers who had driven more than 13 million kilometers behind the wheel. The observation is clear, to say the least: across all categories, Android users are crushing their friends.
Beware of drivers with iPhone
Whether it’s distraction, acceleration, cornering, acceleration or braking, Android users always do their best. In addition, it is at the level of distraction that the difference is felt the most. In other words, iPhone users are much more likely than others to check their smartphone while driving.
Interestingly, other parameters don’t seem to affect the results. Therefore, while the age or social class of the person generally affects the behavior of the person, it does not change the difference between Android and iPhone users. In fact, Android users without a bachelor’s degree drive better than iPhone users with a PhD, while the latter tend to drive more carefully.
For what it’s worth, Jerry has Android users to work with. “Besides being more open, honest and humble, he is less concerned with luxury and social status. »
