Two years after the acquisition of the most popular instant messaging application by the famous social network, we now learn that WhatsApp will share some of your data with Facebook, such as your phone number. As the company explained in its latest press release, the purpose of this new measure is to give you more relevant friend suggestions and more ads that fit your needs.

Fortunately, WhatsApp will ask for your opinion before sharing your phone number and other user data with Facebook. First of all don’t accept it because in reality you are not required but the app will try to make you believe it.
The next time you start WhatsApp, you will see the app’s new terms of service privacy policy. At first you will feel like you have no choice but to accept them, but in reality you don’t.
How is it rejected?
To opt out of the new email client privacy rules, all you have to do is:
- Start the application, then the new rules will be displayed, do not click the “Accept” button
- click “Learn about important updates to our Terms and Privacy Policy”
- A box will then appear, you just have to uncheck
If you have accidentally already accepted these new rules, know that 30 days to get it backall you have to do is:
- Go to app settings and then “My Account”
- Uncheck the “Share account information” box
