Google Stadia has been available in France since November 2019. The cloud gaming service’s beginnings were not easy, with some calling it a “monumental fiasco”. A few problems arose during Stadia’s first weeks of operation. Pre-orders have been canceled due to a bug in the Google Store, a game catalog limited to 22 games on D-Day alone, or the unpleasant surprise of having to download data to play NBA 2K20.
Add to this the games that sell for a hefty price, with the difference of around thirty euros between the Stadia version and the console version (e.g. Borderlands 3), and it’s easy to see why players decided to slam the door. from Stadia.
