How to Download macOS Mojave Beta
Start the macOS Mojave beta download on the Mac App Store.
The macOS Mojave download is easy to find because it’s in the Mac App Store, but you’ll need to access it. Developers need to download the macOS Mojave Developer Beta Access Utility, which unlocks the beta version on your Mac. This is actually the key to getting into the developer beta.

On our MacBook with a good Internet connection, the download took about an hour, so you can wait a while before proceeding with this step. After the download is complete, the macOS Mojave installer opens. If not, you can find it in Launcher.

- Enter your password if prompted.
- Follow the remaining on-screen instructions.
For the next 30 to 45 minutes, your Mac will reboot while the installation takes place. It may seem like it paused or frozen, but you just have to wait and let the installation complete. In some parts of the installation you will see a timer and at other times just a progress bar.
When your Mac restarts, you will need to sign in with your Apple ID and password. Follow the onscreen instructions to get started with macOS Mojave beta. You’ll be able to start testing some of the new macOS 10.14 features included in the beta.
