Triller is a popular video recording platform where music plays an important role. You record yourself in some funny or funny situations while the song you want is playing in the background.
The app lets you use an enormous music library and even your Spotify account to find a suitable song. You can also use songs from your device storage.
But what if you find the perfect song on a platform like SoundCloud? It does not fall into any of the above categories. Well, there is no reason to worry. This article will explain how to run it.
First – Download a Song from Soundcloud
Some Soundcloud songs have a “Download File” button that lets you save the songs to your hard drive. However, mobile phones cannot use this option.
You can subscribe to a SoundCloud Go or Go+ subscription to listen to songs while offline, but this will not download the songs to your mobile storage.
Instead, you have to download the song to your computer first, then transfer it to your mobile storage. Here’s what you need to do:
- Go to the Soundcloud website on your computer.
- Find a song you want to download.
- Click the “More” button at the bottom of the playback menu (next to the likes, reposts, and share icons).
- Select the “Download file” option.
This will download the track to your PC. Then you need to find a way to transfer it to your smartphone in order to be able to play with the Triller app.
You can transfer the file the same way you normally transfer songs to your smartphone – USB cable, shared apps like Messenger, shared cloud storage like Dropbox, etc. through.
Unfortunately, not all Soundcloud songs have a “Download File” button. This means that the author or user who uploaded the song does not want other users to download it. If so, you will have to resort to alternative methods.
No Download Button? Get the Song from Third-Party Downloaders
Fortunately, you can find numerous third-party downloaders online. These downloaders allow you to download songs that you would otherwise not be able to download from certain platforms.
Moreover, you don’t need to use your PC to transfer downloaded songs to a smartphone. Instead, you can download them directly to the device. So even if a song is officially downloadable, you can use this method to avoid the PC part. Follow these steps:
- Open the SoundCloud app.
- Search for the song you want to download.
- Tap the “More” (three vertical dots) button.
- Tap “Share”.
- Tap on “More sharing options”.
- Select “Copy to Clipboard”.
- Open your preferred browser.
- Go to a SoundCloud downloader website like KlickAud.
- Long press on the empty address bar.
- Select “Paste” to paste the Soundcloud vase.
- Tap the “Download” button.
- Wait for the download to finish.
Your browser will download the SoundCloud audio to the designated download folder. You can find it there and use it for your Triller video.
Finally – Add Song to Triller
Now that the downloaded song is officially part of your library, you can easily add it to your Triller video. Do the following:
- Start Triller.
- Press the “Add” button (plus sign) at the bottom of the screen.
- Select “Music Video”.
- Select the “My Music” tab.
- Allow the app to access your files (if prompted).
- Find and tap your downloaded Soundcloud song.
- Select the part of the song you want to play in your video.
- Trim your video to the desired length by clicking the timer below the sound wave.
- Tap the “Movie” button in the upper right corner of the screen.
You can now select the appropriate filters and other accessories before shooting your video. If all goes well, your Soundcloud song should play normally after recording starts.
Fly: When you select a song from your library, it will appear in your video published by file tag. Soundcloud downloads usually have a file tag, but if it isn’t they may show up as “filename.mp3” for example.
Before Downloading…
Before downloading songs from Soundcloud, you should pay attention to a few things.
Firstly, there is a reason why Soundcloud songs cannot be downloaded. As with Spotify and various other music platforms, the songs are copyrighted.
Soundcloud songs are owned by their authors or record labels, so downloading them without permission can sometimes get you into legal trouble.
The only correct way to approach this issue is to contact the author before downloading the song or support him by paying for his songs if available on other platforms.
Use Any Song in the World
Triller lets you add any song you have in your phone’s memory. This means you can download a YouTube video in MP3 format, Soundcloud audio and any other MP3 song and use it for your Triller recording.
Of course, you should always pay attention to legal issues to avoid unnecessary inconvenience. After all, Triller is primarily a place of entertainment.
