Set up iMessage Correctly
A common problem that can prevent iMessage from syncing properly is iMessage not set up correctly.
iMessage syncs with all your Apple devices as long as you sign in with the same Apple ID and turn it on in settings. Follow these steps to set up iMessage properly.
Do this on all your iPhones and iPads. This is what you need to do to be able to send and receive iMessages between all your Apple devices.
Follow these simple steps to set up iMessage on Mac.
Once this is set, you should be ready to go and any iMessages you receive on your iOS device will also appear on your Mac and vice versa. However, if you’re still having trouble, there’s a quick fix.
Turn iMessage Off and On Again
If iMessage is set up correctly but you still have syncing issues, you can try this quick fix. This essentially resets iMessage, which is equivalent to turning it off and back on. .
Essentially, you disable iMessage on all your iOS and Mac devices that have iMessage, and then re-enable it on each device one by one.
To do this on your iOS devices, go to iMessage on all these devices and turn it off. On Mac, you will open Messages and then click on its icon. From there, uncheck and close Messages and then turn it back on.
At this point, go back to your iOS devices and re-enable iMessage and then go to your Mac and do the same. Give your devices a few moments to communicate with each other and eventually iMessage will be ready to go. From there, you should no longer have problems.
