Adding a News Feed in WordPress Using a Plugin

After plugin activation, You will see a new menu item in your WordPress admin dashboard called News Signs. you belong hover and click with your mouse add new.

Once there, you can assign a name to your float, as well as add a marquee text and a link (optional).

If you want, You can add unlimited number of ticks to your ticker. Simply click the + button located in the upper right corner of each ticker item area.

When you’re done, you can choose Recording Mode tab. Here, you will be able to see three different modes – Draft (default mostly used by television networks), Turnand List.

Once you’re done customizing your action strip, you’ll also have different options when it comes to adding the queue strip to your page, post, or anywhere on your website.

Above all the ticker settings, you will notice the option that allows you to copy the shortcode. (you can copy manually or press Select Shortcode button) you can then paste it anywhere on your page or post.

As an alternaive, You can copy the PHP function’s code in the same way and add it to one of your theme files. (Appearance >> Theme Editor).

There is also an option to use the Ditty News Ticker widget ( Appearance >> Widgets) and add it to any sidebar area on your website.

If you have more than one recording, select the recording you want to display in the widget itself and Save button.
